Your Hair, but BETTER!
The 61st Annual Grammy Awards that took place earlier this week was definitely different from previous red carpet looks. There didn't seem to be a set theme this year, but there was an overall casualness to it. We saw a few minimalist looks and even bare faces. Any glam we did see was very soft and subtle. The outfits, the makeup, and yes, even the hair, were all kept simple.
A lot of the focus was on the cuts and color, and styling was minimal. CIBU pulled a few of our favorites hairstyles from the night and is here to show you what products and techniques can help you achieve the look. We selected 4 different cuts because here at CIBU, every style is a winner!
The Edgy Pixie
If you have a pixie cut, you don't need to do much for it to stand out. All you have to do to get Katy's look is tease your roots with a teasing comb and then work a dime size amount of CIBU Sticky Rice Matte Pomade through dry hair, slicking it back.
The Sleek Bob
The dark bob cut is all the rage right now and if you are one bold enough to rock this look, you don't have to do much to make it pop. Get Dua's shiny, luminous look by flat ironing your hair, then smooth 1-2 pumps of CIBU Shine Squad Oil over hair, focusing on ends.
The Wild Curls
Be untamed and free like Alicia. Bare your face and let down your hair! For all of you with big, natural curls, just work a dime-quarter size serving of CIBU Spring Roll Curl Shaping Cream through towel dried hair from mid-lengths to ends. Use a diffuser to blow-dry to add extra volume and control.
The Soft Waves
Gaga went classic and soft glam with her look. The focus was on her vibrant color and layers. For those of you with long locks, style these loose waves into your hair with a flat iron, combing through to make even softer. Then, work 2 pumps of CIBU 8 Days A Week Texture Finishing Spray into hair, below the roots, for texture and volume. Then, spray another 2 pumps onto hair, focusing on ends, for all day hold.
